Matthew attended Dalhousie University for his undergraduate degree where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts. He attended law school in England and completed his legal education at York University, Osgoode Hall Law School, where he graduated with a Master of Laws in September 2016. Matthew is a long-time member of St. George's Golf & Country Club. He enjoys golfing and playing hockey in his spare time.
Matthew worked at a top Toronto law firm in an administrative role from May of 2012 to September of 2013 where he assisted lawyers in every practice area. From July to October 2014 he worked as a summer law student at a Toronto firm assisting with criminal and regulatory matters.
Matthew returned to Canada and began working at Janssen Law Professional Corporation and was called to the Bar on September 27, 2017. He is an associate with extensive experience in multiple practice areas, with a particular focus on Immigration and Corporate/Commercial matters. Matthew represents clients at the Immigration and Refugee Board, Immigration Appeal Division, Ontario Superior Court of Justice and the Federal Court of Canada. He assists small business owners, entrepreneurs, medium to large corporations, and individual clients with the full range of immigration law matters.
